Fefu and Her Friends

I worked as a costume crafts technician in University of North Carolina School of the Arts production of Fefu and her Friends by María Irene Fornés. This 1930's show required lots of fine detail work for jewelry, shoes, and other accessories. Due to a issue with shipping some fabric we had to pivot to a backup fabric option, and needed to figure out a method to apply a pattern onto crushed velvet. After experimenting we settled on bronze screen printing.
